Joanne Kaye from St Bede's Junior School in St Helen's shares her Year 4, 5 and 6 lesson plan for a non-fiction unit of work.

"I ran this English lesson with our Year 4 class using an article about the sale of a David Hockney painting as a lesson starter and a feature on St Andrew's Day for the main lesson on persuasive writing. The lesson covers objectives from across the curriculum and our children loved coming up with their persuasive pitches to visit Scotland."
