Competition: Draw a sea creature for our poster

In association with STABILO

Are you a budding artist? Do you think you can draw a prize-winning clownfish or octopus? In celebration of World Ocean Day on 8 June, The Week Junior is running a new competition with STABILO to create an awesome poster featuring some of the world’s coolest sea creatures, and your artwork could feature in it! Enter our competition below for your chance to have your picture chosen for the poster and the opportunity to win a fantastic STABILO art bundle.

How to enter

First, pick a sea creature from your age category below:

  • Ages 10 and under:

Sea creatures ages 10 and under

  • Ages 11–14:

Sea creatures ages 11–14

Next, draw a picture of your chosen sea creature in the space provided on the form here. The judges will be looking for the most creative and colourful drawings, so don’t be afraid to go big! You can pick any ocean species of your chosen creature, and some of the animals have lots of amazing species to choose from – so whether you choose the magnificent leafy sea dragon or a wacky fried egg jellyfish, take a close look at your chosen animal’s unique features and markings.

Finally, send your picture by email to competitions@theweekjunior.co.uk with OCEAN POSTER as the subject line by 10 July 2021. Make sure you've included your name, age, chosen sea creature and whether you're right or left handed, as well as the address, email address and phone number of your parent or guardian.

Once the competition has closed, our expert judges will pick 10 of the best animal drawings, five from the age 10 and under category and five from the 11–14 category. The winning pictures will feature on an exclusive The Week Junior and STABILO ocean poster. So, grab your pens and get creative!
