Be a reading hero!
This holiday we’re inviting you to join our Summer of Reading squad of super readers. Your challenge – should you choose to accept it – is to read at least one book during the summer break, then let us know what you think of it for a chance to enter our prize draw. If you aren’t sure what to read, take a look at our brilliant list of 50 books recommended by readers of The Week Junior.
How to enter
All you need to do is read a book (any book you like), then – using our entry form – rate it out of three stars and write a three word review for a chance to win. Make sure you have a parent/guardian’s permission before you enter.
You can enter as many times as you like, though each entry must be for a different book. The more books you read the better your chance of winning!
The winner and two runners-up will be picked at random after the prize draw closes at midnight on Friday 1 September 2023. See our full terms and conditions here.
One lucky winner will receive ALL the books that have been shortlisted for The Week Junior Book Awards – worth £400. They’ll also get a Bookily gift card worth £120* and a family ticket to The Week Junior Book Festival in October half term.
Two runners-up will each receive a Bookily gift card worth £60*
We’ve created a poster to help you keep track of what you’ve read this summer. Print it out then stick it somewhere where you’ll see it – on a pinboard, fridge or bedroom wall. Fill it out with the details of each book you finish.
